About Bluebird
Bluebird Home Repair was hatched in 2024 to help you Love Your Nest! Bluebird’s owner, Justin, saw a need in the community for expert, caring, and professional handyman and home repair services. Bluebird is here to fill the gap between the general contractor (who specializes in large renovations) and the homeowner (who may not have the time or expertise to complete those projects confidently).
Meet Justin
Justin earned a B.A. from Eastern University in 2014 where he cultivated a love of learning and a desire to help his neighbors live healthier and more joyful lives. He then spent two years working at a small orchard growing delicious fruits and veggies.
In 2016, spurred by a desire to learn to build a house for himself and his family, Justin entered the custom home building industry, learning from expert builders and world-class craftsmen. It was during that time that he learned how a house becomes a home; from design considerations to the science of how materials affect our quality of life. He was able to contribute to the construction and maintenance of dozens of high-end custom homes.
In 2022, Justin was given an opportunity to use his skills to help improve and maintain the facilities at a local zoo in Montgomery County, PA. It was a wild time! Working at the zoo gave him a chance to tackle unique problems and further his knowledge of building science. Replacing light fixtures is one thing, but building houses for porcupines and enrichment (toys) for jaguars are experiences that most builders could only imagine.
After spending nearly a decade in the construction and maintenance industry, Justin is excited to be able to share his expertise and experience in service of his community.
